Thanks to Ron Ficarro (Ex
I Am Ghost Bassist/
Christian TV) for answering these questions for us.
So Ron, you recently started a new band 'Christian TV', can you tell us a little bit about you guys?
I joined Christian TV about 4 months ago. A friend of mine hit me up and told me Christian was looking for band members. I did an audition in L.A. and I got the job on the spot!
I notice a huge difference in styles between I Am Ghost and Christian TV, how different was it writing in that style when you have been writing with IAG for so long?
When I joined CTV the record had already been written. I love all styles of music so it is refreshing to play something new. IAG was the most "Metal-hard core" band I've been in so far. I have always loved pop based music, like 60s rock to pop punk and rock.
Where did the name Christian TV come from?
The name came from Christians first name and TV is to represent his transmission to the world! I think its a cool name.
You just played on Fox TV show 'So You Think You Can Dance'! How was it and how did you feel knowing so many people were watching you on live TV?
Playing on So You Think You Can Dance? was a lot of fun! I have never done anything like that before! I was a bit nervous at first knowing 15 million people were watching!!! but I think we nailed it! my parents had a party in my home town Rochester NY while they watched it live.
Who have been your biggest influences?
My musical influences are based on all kinds of players and bands I look up to. The Beatles and Green Day being my top two :) I also play Jazz, funk and classical upright bass.
Is there any one you would love to tour with or even do a duet with?
I would love to play a song with Green Day! Just have Mike take a break for a few songs I know them all! haha. I like to play songs with bands I looked up to as a kid. I have played on stage with Strong Out (Firecracker) (SDHFR) with the Ataris, and a Romoans cover with Suger Cult so far.
Have you always wanted to be a musician, if not what did you want to be when you were younger?
I have played music all my life. I wanted to be in a rock band since I was 12. Thats when I put down my trumpet and picked up a bass. It changed my life. I think when I was like 9 OR 10 I wanted to be a lawyer.....lame.

I heard I Am Ghost are still going to carry on but under a new name without Steven, is this correct?
Yes IAG is over :( After Steve quit the band, we decided the four of us will continue to write new music, release an album and tour under a new name. You can find more info on that in the next coming months at www.myspace.com/officialiamghostupdates. I feel the fans need a bit more, it was an abrupt end to IAG and the four of us still want to make music together. Thats what we love to do, Our fans are so supportive and they deserve our best.
The new songs you guys were writing for the new IAG cd, will they still be used if you stay together or will you completely start over?
We have 11 songs written but without lyrics that were for the new IAG record, I think we are going to start fresh and See what we come up with. We have much to talk about and There is nothing holding us back, its a clean slate, and its time...
Thank you for answering a couple of questions for our website, and we wish you the best of luck with Christian TV and IAG!
